And finally…

This is my last post and I´m going to talk about my experience with this blog…. I love writing, I do it frequently in spanish but I think that this blog is a different way to learn English, to be honest there were moments in which I didn´t find good topics to write (I had difficulty when the topics were chosen by us ).  A few days ago mi sister told me that she and my mum read my blog, I wrote a post once in the laptop of my sister and the name of “Good luck Lidia” stayed there, so my sister and my mother started to read for curious, I didn´t hope this!
I believe that my writing skills are better than before (I hope…), I learnt new words but I still have problem with the word “The” however I think that I’ll fix my writing, the Blog is a good exercise.
I think that in the future English as a subject should follow with dynamics and creative exercises, the blog for example should be “freer” , I mean that each student choose a topic (or an area in special) for his/her blog and every week he/ she update it. Maybe the students could do activities associated with their interests and with the career to have more vocabulary of “Public Administration”.
Honestly I think that I had to write about music, books, movies and TV shows, because they are topics very arguable and interesting, people know much about this topics and I could learn more, maybe there are bands or authors that I don´t know and which could be good for me.
Ok, this is the "good bye", I have no more to say except.... Good luck!!

Mundo Karol!!

HI!! Is incredible as the time past, June has come and the rain too, in this publication I'm going to talk about a experience of this semester called Mundo Karol. I have a subject called "Teoría Admnistrativa" with Álvaro Ramírez, he wants that we make a project to know more about our career for this second year (including students of others teachers) went to a school situated in Pedro Aguirre Cerda called “Karol Cardenal de Cracovia”, this school isn’t like other schools because it has a different system of education, the student is the protagonist and children are students and most important, they are people.

I went to this school in May and I think that it was an interesting experience, I felt very happy that day, and children were very funny and tender. I had fun, visiting a place like that isn’t common but honestly I believe that this experience is one of the most interesting I’ve lived in university.

A new virtual movement...

HI!! how are you?? I suppose that you have Facebook and you have read that your friends will go to marches, meetings even classes, but what is the particular about this? The answer is simple, all these events are based on sarcasm and ironies that  most people in a countrie can understand.
This virtual movement started last monday, Belen Soto a contributor in the website Ixclu.cl wrote in an article that the movement originated for a real event called "Almorzando con Cecilia Morel" published for "Movimiento Gremial de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile", this activity was spread as a taunt so cybernauts began to create ridiculous activities that imitate it for example "Marcha para recuperar la virginidad de Kenita", "Marcha Nacional para que Caszely repita el penal" "Marcha para que Doña Florinda no golpee a Ron Damon" and "Clases de ética con Valentina Roth".
I think that there are very fun events that make me laugh because they are clever, ridiculous and amusing, is incredible the power of social networks however I think that this virtual movement will stay for a few days (maybe weeks) and that in the future will desappear because they going to be boring.

Elton Mayo and Administration!!

HI!!  In my second publication I told you about my career "Public Administration" and now I want to talk about a person very important in the History of Administration, I suppose  that you heard about him, he is a sociologist called Elton Mayo (1880-1949). He was and is known for his studies about the organization of behaviour that includes studies of  the "worker's logic of feelings" and other studies that talk about the logic of cost and efficiency of management that could lead to conflict in organizations; the studies realized for Elton Mayo had a dramatic effect in the administrative thought because he was the first author that considered to the workers as persons and no robots, he includes concepts like Motivation, Recognition, Labour Satisfaction. Today his name is associated with the School of Human Relations, the last year  I had a subject called "Teoría de la Organización" and I studied about many theories so I found this author, I think that Elton Mayo is an author who broke the barriers and left the paradigm called "scientific organization".

The First Film Of The World

HI!! I was talking with a friends about a movie that we want to see, and I tought that I can talk about the first movie of the world...  The name of the film was "L'Arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat" (Arrival of a train to the La Ciotat's Station) it was a documentary filmed in 1985 and directed by Louis Lumiére.
In the Salon Indien Du Grand Café in Paris, the Lumiére Brothers transformed  the Industry of Entertaiment when they showed their invention. Auguste and Louis Lumiére showed a lot of images in a screen, this images were moving for people this situacion wasn´t normal. This film is was one of  group of short films that were exhibited in the same year, but this is the most famous movie because it was made with precision, experts in the topic say that Louis Lumiére chose the plans for making of excellent form and was for this that people were impressed.
I think that "L'Arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat" was a revolution for the Entertaiment Industry that in fifty seconds surprised to the world.

Platonic Love...

Hi everybody!!  This time I´m going to talk about Platonic Love (aaaahhhhwwww) honestly I don´t know why... For me a platonic love is someone important for a person but unachievable because that loved one is a famous person, even unreal! It´s a mixture of admiration and to think that the person is very handsome, polite, nice among others.
I have many platonic loves... characters of books, singers, actors, for example I love Mister Darcy (Pride and Prejudice) and I don´t talk about Mathew Macfadyen the actor who plays the character (but he is attractive). I think in the fictitious person invented by Jane Austin, I think that he is almost a perfect man but I am not sufficiently crazy to believe that he is real. On one hand he is an actor and on the other there is the character.
Also, I have other love platonic.. He is a chilean man... He is Matías Oviedo, I like his smile, his eyes and I believe that he is a talented person, Matías is an actor and musician, he sings and plays the guitar in his band "Julio Pino".
I think that Platonic Love is something typical in women even men... so.. do you have one???

"VJ Day in Time Square"

Hi again!!! In many social networks you can see pictures of couples, people kissing to their girlfriend or boyfriend showing their love, but there is a photograph older and more symbolic... In this picture you can see a young sailor kissing to a unknown nurse because he was very very happy for the end of the Second World War. This photograph was taken in august 14th of 1945 for a  prussian photographer called Alfred Eisenstaedt.
The story of this picture is very interesting, there was a young sailor near of the subway in New York who listened the good news about the surrender of Japan, he felt very pleased so he ran and looked to a young nurse, she smiled his and he hug to the lady and kisses her...  Alfred Eisenstaedt got close to the improvise couple and took the photograph what was published in the magazine "Life", Eisenstaedt never knew the names of the sailor or the nurse, there are people that say to be part of the historic couple, even now it doesn´t clear but apparently their names were George Mendosa and Greta Friedman (is not sure)
I like this picture because it symbolize a moment oh happiness, euphoria and hope... and it shows the party of a pair of youngs for the end of an horrible period!!
